Sani Musa Defects to ADC, Sparks Political Debate in Adamawa

Sani Musa's recent defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has ignited a political exchange in Adamawa State. Victor Dogo, the State Secretary of APC, stated in a telephone interview with Daily Trust on Sunday that the party remains intact and focused on the upcoming 2027 general elections.

He characterized Musa as a political liability, claiming he lacks popularity even in his home base, and expressed that Musa's departure would have no impact on the APC. In contrast, Macaulay Hunohashi, the Director General of the ADC Governorship Campaign Council, expressed excitement over Musa's resignation from APC, viewing it as a significant development for the party.

Hunohashi noted that Musa's decision reflects the growing confidence in ADC as a credible platform for political participation and leadership renewal in Adamawa State, highlighting his previous role as the Director General of the Binani Campaign Council.
