Over 100 ADC Members Defect to APC in Sokoto State

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sokoto State experienced a significant setback as over 100 members defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). This mass defection included high-profile individuals such as the immediate past Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Hon.

Musa Ausa Gidan Madi, and other prominent political figures from Gudu, Binji, and Tangaza local government areas. The formal reception into the APC was conducted by the State Chairman, Hon.

Haruna S. Gobir Adiya, in the presence of Governor Dr.

Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko during the flag-off of the Gidan Madi–Binji–Gande Road Project in Tangaza. Senator Wamakko described the defection as an endorsement of Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s leadership and a sign of growing public confidence in the APC.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu welcomed the defectors, assuring them of equal opportunities within the party and reaffirming his administration's commitment to impactful projects. The defectors cited the achievements of the Ahmed Aliyu administration as their reason for joining the APC.
