Adamawa APC Candidate Mourns Elder Statesman Tukur

Ahmed Galadima, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Adamawa State, expressed deep sorrow over the death of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, an elder statesman and notable figure from Adamawa. In a condolence message released on Saturday by his media aide, Adamu Sambo, Galadima described Tukur's passing as a monumental loss for both the state and Nigeria.

He highlighted Tukur's significant contributions to public service, politics, and national development, noting his roles as General Manager and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Ports Authority from 1975 to 1982, Governor of the old Gongola State in 1983, Minister of Industries, and National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party from 2012 to 2014. Galadima emphasized Tukur's legacy in public service and the impact he had on the political and developmental history of Adamawa.

He extended condolences to Tukur's family and praised Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for declaring three days of mourning in honor of Tukur, recognizing the importance of respecting distinguished citizens beyond political affiliations.
