Bamanga Tukur Laid to Rest in Yola Amid Tributes

Bamanga Tukur, a prominent elder statesman and former Governor of the defunct Gongola State, was laid to rest in Yola, Adamawa State, on Sunday at approximately 11:30 am. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, Adamawa APC governorship candidate Tijjani Ahmed Galadima, former Governor Umaru Bindow Jibrilla, and business mogul Aliko Dangote. The Chief Imam of Modibbo Adama Jumma’at Mosque, Khadi Ahmadu Bobboi, led the funeral prayers at the Lamido’s Palace in Yola.

Governor Fintiri expressed that Tukur's death represents a great loss, indicating that his contributions have left a significant gap. Alhaji Aliko Dangote also remarked on the death as a colossal loss to Tukur's family, Adamawa State, the nation, and the global business community.
