ADC Condemns Attack on Members in Kaduna State

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) condemned an attack on its members in Kaduna State, as stated by Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC National Publicity Secretary. The party described the incident as an unacceptable escalation during the early stages of political activities for the upcoming elections.

The ADC warned against the introduction of thuggery into the 2027 political process, asserting that no individual or political party has a monopoly on non-state-sanctioned violence. Abdullahi emphasized the importance of security agencies acting promptly to identify, arrest, and prosecute those responsible for the attack and its sponsors.

The ADC expressed solidarity with its governorship candidate, Hon. Isa Ashiru, and the affected members, urging the Kaduna State Government to ensure the safety of opposition parties. The party declared its commitment to peaceful democratic participation and stated that intimidation would not deter its political activities in Kaduna State.
