ADC Dissolves Kano Executives, Forms Caretaker Committee

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially dissolved its Kano State executive committee and formed a caretaker committee to oversee party affairs. This decision was announced by Naja'atu Mohammed, the Deputy National Chairman for the North West region of the ADC, during a press conference at the Nigeria Union of Journalists press center in Kano on Monday.

The action aligns with the party's constitution and the Electoral Act, aimed at protecting the future of the party in the state. Mohammed stated that the caretaker committee is essential to restore stability and ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the party, especially in times of leadership vacuum.

She urged members not to misinterpret the caretaker committee's role and called for their support to maintain democratic ideals. The new caretaker committee will be headed by Alhaji Umar Bala, with Isma'il Musa serving as the secretary.
