ADC Dissolves Kano State Executive, Appoints Caretaker Committee

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially dissolved its Kano State executive and appointed a caretaker committee to oversee the party's affairs. This decision was announced by Hajiya Naja'atu Mohammed, the Deputy National Chairman of ADC North West, during a press conference at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) press center in Kano on Monday.

The action aligns with the party's constitution and the Electoral Act, aimed at protecting the future of the ADC in Kano State. Mohammed stressed the importance of maintaining unity and discipline within the party, particularly during times of leadership vacuum.

She urged party members to support the caretaker committee and replace suspicion with trust, emphasizing collective interest over personal agendas. Mohammed expressed hope that this transitional arrangement would mark a new beginning for the ADC in Kano State, reinforcing the party's democratic ideals and strengthening its institutional framework.
