Kwankwaso Calls ADC Convention a Historic Milestone

Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former presidential candidate and governor of Kano State, characterized the African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Convention held in Abuja on Tuesday as historic. He expressed his satisfaction with the convention, which aimed to strengthen the party's resolve to contest and win the forthcoming elections.

The event attracted approximately 3,000 delegates and political stakeholders, emphasizing the party's preparations for the 2027 general elections. During the convention, the ADC announced the expulsion of former deputy national chairman Nafiu Bala and other members, including Kenneth Ehiat, Stella Chukwu, and Elia Adiukwu, due to allegations of anti-party activities.

The motion for expulsion was moved by Bino Yaro, representing Adamawa South, and was promptly seconded and adopted by the delegates in attendance. The ADC is under the leadership of David Mark, a former Senate president, who is also focused on unifying the party ahead of the elections.
