ADC Accuses Tinubu Administration of Election Manipulation

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a statement on Thursday, accusing the Tinubu administration of misusing state institutions to further the President's political agenda for the 2027 elections. The party's National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, expressed concern over reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) contracted a political ally of President Tinubu for election logistics.

Additionally, the ADC criticized the Lagos State Commissioner of Police for attending the launch of the pro-Tinubu City Boy Movement, calling it a blatant disregard for public sensitivity. The ADC warned that such actions indicate a troubling trend where partisan actors are infiltrating state institutions, undermining the neutrality required for fair elections.

They demanded explanations from INEC and the Nigeria Police Force, emphasizing that the integrity of the electoral process is at stake, especially with the involvement of individuals known for their political affiliations in handling sensitive election materials.
