ADC Urges Tinubu to Combat Terrorism, Not Opposition

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his declaration of being ready to “fight to finish” politically, urging him instead to focus on defeating terrorists. This statement was made during a meeting with members of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The ADC, represented by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, expressed concern over the worsening insecurity in Nigeria, highlighted by a recent attack on Naridon village in Kaduna State that resulted in at least 30 deaths. The ADC described Tinubu as Nigeria’s “Statement Maker-in-Chief,” accusing him of merely commenting on insecurity rather than taking decisive action.

They criticized his administration for failing to provide a security record justifying his political bravado after over three years in office. The ADC emphasized that the President's focus should be on combating terrorism and protecting citizens rather than engaging politically with the opposition.
