ADC's Hembe Confident Atiku Will Win 2027 Election

Herman Hembe, the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benue State, announced his confidence that the party's presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, will secure victory in the 2027 presidential election. Hembe made this declaration in Makurdi while introducing his deputy, John Abba.

He had recently formed a committee to select the deputy governorship candidate shortly after being named the ADC's gubernatorial candidate. Hembe noted that the selection process, which received the endorsement of the ADC's national chairman, Senator David Mark, was conducted transparently.

He asserted that the ADC's strategy indicates that votes from the Southern region will be split between Peter Obi and Bola Tinubu, which he believes will favor Atiku in the Northern geopolitical zones. Hembe encouraged party members to actively support all ADC candidates in the upcoming elections, stating that their success would positively impact his own gubernatorial campaign.

He committed to serving only one term to complete the eight years for the Jechira Zone and to facilitate a transition to the Benue South senatorial district.
