Adegbonmire Defends Tinubu's Economic Policies and Achievements

Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, representing Ondo Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, defended the economic policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during a radio programme in Akure. Adegbonmire stated that the reforms aim to tackle Nigeria's structural challenges and establish a foundation for sustainable growth.

He urged Nigerians to be patient, noting that economic recovery requires proper sequencing and stabilization of fundamentals. He cited achievements such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, rail and airport infrastructure investments, and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

Adegbonmire also discussed his contributions to education and healthcare in Ondo Central, including over N800 million in educational projects and renovations of health centres. He addressed allegations from former Senator Patrick Ayo Akinyelure regarding the Alade-Idanre-Owena Road, labeling them as "pure mischief" and challenging Akinyelure to provide evidence of a petition he claimed to have sent.
