Wike Urges Adeleke to Present Certificate to Tinubu

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, revealed that he advised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to present his Certificate of Return to President Bola Tinubu. Adeleke won the Osun State gubernatorial election, securing 511,067 votes against Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who received 444,815 votes.

After receiving his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Adeleke followed Wike's counsel by presenting it to Tinubu and expressing appreciation for the election outcome. Wike mentioned during a media session with journalists in Rivers State that he was instrumental in Adeleke's decision to publicly thank the President, stating, “I told Adeleke to call Mr President and go and present his certificate of return to him, I also told him to make a press statement thanking Mr President after the Osun election.”.
