Adeleke Demands Arrest of Senator Over Violence Threat

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has demanded the immediate arrest and investigation of Senator Francis Fadahunsi following a viral video in which Fadahunsi allegedly called for the killing of Accord Party leaders, supporters, and their families ahead of the upcoming governorship election. Adeleke reported the incident to Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu, who confirmed the video's existence and assured action.

In the video, Fadahunsi purportedly stated, “From now on, whenever you see Accord members, kill them,” which Adeleke described as a national security threat. Fadahunsi, however, claimed the video was edited to distort his remarks, asserting that he was referring to retaliation against attacks on APC members in Ilesa.

He stated that if violence against APC members continued, they would defend themselves. Fadahunsi accused the state government of not adequately condemning the violence against APC members, claiming over 12 members had been killed.
