Adeleke Demands Arrest of Fadahunsi Over Threat Video

On Tuesday, Osun Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of Senator Francis Fadahunsi following a viral video in which Fadahunsi allegedly threatened to kill members of the Accord Party and their families. During an emergency press briefing in Osogbo, Adeleke expressed concerns over alleged police operations targeting Accord Party leaders ahead of the upcoming governorship election.

He claimed that a police signal had been issued for the arrest of these leaders, with instructions to detain them in Abuja until after the election. Adeleke stated that he had communicated with the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, regarding these allegations, urging an investigation into the matter.

He emphasized that the arrest of opposition leaders could undermine the electoral process's credibility and described the situation as a national security threat. Adeleke demanded an end to what he termed "illegal operations" by the police and called for an investigation into Fadahunsi's statements, labeling them as incitement to violence against the people of Ijesaland and Osun State.
