Adeleke Inaugurates New Facilities at Osun State University

On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, inaugurated multiple projects at Osun State University in Ilesa. The projects included the remodeling of the Faculty of Law annex, the Faculty of Public Health building, and the reconstruction of the internal road network.

Additionally, a new female medical hostel and a Faculty of Basic Science building were inaugurated. Governor Adeleke highlighted the unprecedented growth of the university, which has expanded to 12 faculties and 110 academic programs, serving 15,000 students.

He noted that the establishment of the university was a fulfillment of promises made by previous administrations and emphasized the importance of a strong foundation for academic excellence. The Vice Chancellor, Prof.

Taiwo Asaolu, praised the governor's interventions, stating they would significantly enhance teaching and research capabilities. Mr.

Victoria Samson, the Chief Executive Officer of Bova Group and the third Chancellor of the university, was also present at the inauguration.
