Other appointed members include Gbadegesin Lawal, Titi Laoye-Ponnle, Akinola Franklin Omoniyi, Chief Funminiyi Awotide, Mr Orija Samuel Adebayo, and Mrs Adewale Adetayo Bola. Governor Adeleke has tasked the new council with maintaining the university's record of excellence and collaborating with management to foster further innovations.
The inauguration of the new Governing Council is scheduled for August 31, 2026.
