Adeleke Promises Healing and Unity for Osun State

On the 35th anniversary of Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke pledged to heal the wounds from the recent governorship election and foster unity among residents. In a statewide broadcast, he acknowledged the pain and disruptions caused by the election, expressing sympathy for families affected by violence.

Adeleke commended the citizens for their commitment to democracy, highlighting their courage in voting despite fears of violence during the August 15 election. He stated that their actions demonstrated Osun's character and integrity.

The Governor promised to build on infrastructure, digital economy, sports, agriculture, education, and healthcare, with a focus on youth, women, and students. To address the consequences of electoral violence, he announced the establishment of a Commission of Inquiry and an election victims’ compensation fund, led by Speaker Adewale Egbedun.

Adeleke urged residents to remain law-abiding and assured them of his administration's commitment to inclusive governance, rural development, and anti-poverty initiatives.
