Adeleke Initiates Reconciliation with Osun Opposition Leaders

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has made efforts to reconcile with opposition leaders following the recent governorship election. In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke communicated with former governors Chief Bisi Akande, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and Rauf Aregbesola, as well as Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola and APC governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji.

This outreach coincided with the 35th anniversary of Osun State, during which Adeleke expressed gratitude for the contributions of political leaders and emphasized the importance of peace and reconciliation. He reiterated that there is "no victor, no vanquished" and called for unity to foster good governance and the delivery of democracy's benefits.

Adeleke also acknowledged President Bola Tinubu's request for him to lead peace-building efforts. Additionally, the Osun State Election Violence Relief Committee, chaired by Adewale Egbedun, has urged victims of election-related violence to submit their cases for assistance.
