Adeleke Forgives Opponents, Promises Progress for Osun

On Wednesday, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke declared his forgiveness of all who had offended him, urging former opponents to collaborate with his administration to progress the state. This announcement followed his receipt of the Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission after winning the August 15 governorship election.

Adeleke stated, “Whatever happened in the past, let it be bygone because I have the fear of God,” and emphasized that his administration has brought light to Osun State, ensuring it will not return to darkness. He appealed to fellow contestants to join him for the greater good of the state, asserting that Osun is larger than any individual.

Additionally, he acknowledged those who lost their lives during the election and promised that his family would support their families, clarifying that this assistance would not come from government funds.
