Adeleke Celebrates Re-election Victory in Osun State

Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, described his re-election as a significant victory for democracy and the people of Osun. Following the announcement of the election results, Adeleke expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his support in ensuring the democratic process.

He stated, “I want to seize this opportunity to thank Mr President. Mr President has called me and he has congratulated me.” Adeleke attributed his victory to the public's appreciation of his administration's efforts in infrastructure, healthcare, and security.

He emphasized that the election results reflected the people's endorsement of his governance. Furthermore, Adeleke conveyed that the election should not be seen as a contest with winners and losers, asserting, “It’s no victor, no vanquished.” He expressed anticipation for a call from his main challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to congratulate him on the results.
