Bamidele Urges APC's Oyebamiji to Congratulate Adeleke

Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Leader of the Senate and Chairman of the National Assembly South-West Caucus, called on Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the Osun State election, to congratulate Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election. In a statement released in Abuja on Monday, Bamidele reviewed the election results, where Adeleke secured 511,067 votes, while Oyebamiji received 444,815 votes, and Najeem Salam of the African Democratic Congress obtained 17,180 votes.

Bamidele emphasized the importance of accepting the electorate's decision and urged Adeleke to foster unity and inclusive governance. He encouraged Oyebamiji to share innovative policy ideas with Adeleke to enhance governance.

Bamidele noted that the APC should not view the election outcome as a total loss, citing Adeleke's previous affiliation with the party and his support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election. He also congratulated the Independent National Electoral Commission for the election's conduct.
