Adeleye Falade Becomes New NLNG MD/CEO in Port Harcourt

Adeleye Falade officially assumed office as the Managing Director/CEO of Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) on Wednesday at the company's corporate headquarters in Port Harcourt. He succeeds Philip Mshelbila in this role.

Falade has nearly three decades of experience in the global oil and gas industry, with extensive leadership exposure across the LNG and petroleum value chain. His career within the Shell group has been distinguished, covering upstream and midstream operations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Russia, and Africa.

Prior to this appointment, he served as the Managing Director of Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad, a position he took on in April 2024, where he led strategic operations in Brunei's LNG sector. Falade has also held senior roles at NLNG from May 2019 to September 2023, including General Manager of Product, ensuring reliable plant performance.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the University of Ibadan and an MBA from Henley Business School, UK. His leadership comes at a pivotal time for NLNG, which has recently secured long-term gas supply agreements with six third-party suppliers.
