Ademola Lookman Shares Emotional Moment with Dad Before AFCON Qualifier

On September 24, 2026, Ademola Lookman, a forward for Atletico Madrid, was seen sharing a heartfelt moment with his father after the Super Eagles' final training session at the International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom. This interaction occurred just a day before Nigeria's opening game against Madagascar in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, scheduled for September 25.

Lookman, who is part of the 24-man squad for the qualifiers, was one of the first players to report to camp when it reopened on September 21. The Super Eagles are under pressure to secure a win following a disappointing 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.

Lookman's form is particularly scrutinized by fans as Nigeria competes in Group L, where only one qualification spot remains available. The video of Lookman conversing animatedly with his father quickly went viral, eliciting a warm response from supporters.
