Keyamo Congratulates Adeleke on Historic Re-election

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, congratulated Ademola Adeleke on his re-election as the Governor of Osun State following the recent governorship election. Keyamo described the victory as historic and stressed the importance of honoring political agreements.

His remarks came after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner, with a total of 511,067 votes, defeating Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who garnered 444,815 votes. The State Returning Officer, Prof. Joshua Ogunwole, announced the results early on Sunday.

Keyamo acknowledged Adeleke's public endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election, stating, “Agreement is agreement.” President Tinubu also congratulated Adeleke, emphasizing the need for unity in Osun State post-election. A total of 1,005,800 votes were cast, with 985,079 valid and 20,721 rejected.
