Adeleke's Victory Shows People's Will Prevails in Osun

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), commented on the re-election of Ademola Adeleke as Governor of Osun State, asserting that it exemplifies the triumph of the people's will in a free and fair election. Adeleke, who ran under the Accord Party, secured victory on August 15 with a total of 511,067 votes, while his closest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), garnered 444,815 votes.

Najim Salam of the ADC finished third with 17,180 votes. Momodu praised Adeleke as a grassroots politician who has earned the love of the Osun people through visible projects across the state.

He noted that statements from Senator Francis Fadahunsi and Honourable Wole Oke may have influenced voter sentiment in Adeleke's favor. Momodu criticized the influx of governors into Osun, suggesting they acted out of fear to appease the President, despite their ties to Adeleke.
