NAQS Postpones Recruitment Shortlist Release Date

The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) has announced the postponement of the publication of shortlisted candidates for its recruitment exercise, which was originally scheduled for August 13. This decision, communicated through a public notice signed by the Director of Human Resources, ACG Issaka Ahmed, aims to ensure a thorough, transparent, and accurate recruitment process.

NAQS expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the delay and assured applicants that a new date for the shortlist release would be communicated through official channels. The recruitment exercise, which opened on July 28 and closed on August 10, received a total of 606,928 attempted applications, with 407,659 successfully submitted.

Among these, the Assistant Superintendent of Quarantine II cadre, requiring an HND or bachelor’s degree, received the highest number of applications at 290,076. Other categories included Quarantine Assistant II with 117,177 applications, NCE with 79,685, OND with 70,170, and the Superintendent cadre requiring a master’s degree with 13,183 applications.
