NAQS Denies Recruitment Training Rumors, Urges Official Updates

The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) issued a public notice on August 20, 2026, signed by Issaka Ahmed, Acting Comptroller-General and Director of Human Resources, denying claims of secret training sessions related to its recruitment process. NAQS stated that the recruitment is progressing according to established guidelines, which began with online registration and a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Shortlisted candidates were notified via email with instructions for physical screening. The agency warned against misleading content circulating on social media, including incorrect photographs of NAQS officers and fake accounts.

NAQS emphasized that such misinformation could cause unnecessary anxiety among applicants and may lead to legal consequences for those spreading it. The agency clarified that due to the high number of applicants compared to available vacancies, not all candidates would advance through every stage of the process.

Applicants were advised to follow only official NAQS communication channels for updates.
