AIG Jimoh Urges Entrepreneurship for Retiring Officers

On September 4, AIG Olohundare Jimoh, the Assistant Inspector-General in charge of Zone 2, addressed military officers at the graduation ceremony for the Senior and Mid-Level Officers Entrepreneurship and Management Course 19/2026 at the Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) in Oshodi. He emphasized that entrepreneurship is a survival requirement for retiring military personnel.

The course, organized in partnership with the Empretec Nigeria Foundation, included commissioned officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Defence Intelligence Agency, and Defence Space Administration. Jimoh encouraged graduates to apply their skills in establishing businesses that would create jobs and strengthen local economies.

He praised the program for producing entrepreneurs and community leaders among military personnel. NAFRC Commandant Air Vice Marshal Nnaemeka Ignatius Ilo expressed confidence in the graduates' readiness to excel in enterprise.

Mrs. Onari Duke, Country Director of Empretec Nigeria Foundation, highlighted the cohort's unique mentorship experiences and urged them to apply their military discipline to their new business ventures.
