NAFRC Launches Pre-Discharge Course for Retiring Personnel

The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) in Oshodi, Lagos, inaugurated Pre-Discharge Course 2/2026 for 840 retiring military personnel, aimed at equipping them with vocational, entrepreneurial, and management skills for a successful transition to civilian life. Air Vice Marshal Nnaemeka Ilo, Commandant of NAFRC, congratulated the participants and reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to preparing them for productive post-service careers through practical skills acquisition and entrepreneurship training.

He noted that 689 participants had already been documented, accommodated, and medically screened. Brigadier General Isang Akpaumontia, Director of Training, welcomed the participants, highlighting the Centre's prior activities, including documentation and orientation.

Major General Adebayo Babalola, the Guest of Honour and General Officer Commanding 81 Division, described retirement as a new phase filled with opportunities and commended NAFRC for empowering military personnel. He urged participants to approach the program with dedication, emphasizing the training's potential to foster successful entrepreneurship and community leadership.
