NAFRC Launches Pre-Discharge Course for 840 Retiring Personnel

The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) in Oshodi has commenced its Pre-Discharge Course 2/2026, enrolling 840 retiring military personnel. The course aims to equip participants with vocational, entrepreneurial, and management skills for a successful transition to civilian life.

Major General Adebayo Babalola, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division Nigerian Army, opened the course and encouraged participants to view retirement as a new beginning filled with opportunities. He praised NAFRC's commitment to preparing retiring personnel through skills acquisition and vocational education.

Brigadier General IE Akpaumontia, the Director of Training, reported that 523 participants are from the Nigerian Army, 89 from the Nigerian Navy, and 228 from the Nigerian Air Force. The course includes training in various disciplines such as agriculture, information technology, and entrepreneurship.

Participants are required to maintain discipline and attend all scheduled activities. The program reflects the Federal Government's commitment to the welfare of military personnel during and after service.
