NAFOWA Graduates Young Innovators in Tech Education

The Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA) graduated the second cohort of its Young Achievers Club Coding, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summer Class after a five-day program in Abuja. This initiative was organized in partnership with TechSpace Innovators, an Edtech organization focused on expanding access to technology education.
The program is part of Project 1M Kids, which aims to expose one million Nigerian children to coding, robotics, and AI. A total of 95 participants, aged 12-21, engaged in hands-on learning, covering programming fundamentals, computational thinking, and robotics.
The training concluded with the development of eight team-based projects, including a Flood Protection System and a Gesture Recognition System for Persons with Disabilities. The closing ceremony featured Mrs Ngozi Aneke, President of NAFOWA, who interacted with participants as they presented their projects.
Sesugh Gabriel Abenga, founder of TechSpace Innovators, emphasized the importance of providing meaningful technology education that enables young people to create solutions.
