Governor Aiyedatiwa to Revamp Ondo Health Board Management

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa stated his administration will review the composition of the State Hospitals Management Board and formally inaugurate it. This announcement was made during a courtesy visit from the newly elected executive members of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Ondo State chapter, at his office in Akure.
Aiyedatiwa noted that the previous chairman left after being appointed Secretary to the State Government, and Dr Segun Ategbole resigned to contest an election. A substantive chairman has been appointed, with Dr Nathaniel Akeredolu providing interim leadership.
Aiyedatiwa committed to enhancing investment in the health sector, improving healthcare facilities, and addressing concerns about the deployment of doctors as corps members. He mentioned that allowances for corps members have been increased and new accommodation structures are being constructed.
NMA chairman Dr Roland Arohunmolase praised the governor's commitment to healthcare development, including the procurement of modern medical equipment and the establishment of 500-bed hospitals across the state.
