Ondo State Government Enhances Malaria Prevention Efforts

The Ondo State government has reiterated its commitment to improving the healthcare system by partnering with relevant organizations to enhance health-related messaging. Honourable Idowu Ajanaku, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, made this statement during a meeting with the Larva Source Management Advocacy Team, led by Mr Ralph Onyilo from the Federal Ministry of Health.

Ajanaku praised the team's efforts to support public health initiatives and emphasized the importance of strategic communication in changing public attitudes towards malaria prevention. He assured that his ministry would fully support the team's intervention programs aimed at eradicating diseases.

Mr Ralph Onyilo highlighted the need for collaboration with the state government to strengthen public awareness and education on malaria, stressing that increased awareness and preventive measures are crucial for reducing malaria's impact on communities. The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr Lanre Akarakiri, also underscored the significance of proper coordination and grassroots sensitization in achieving the campaign's objectives.
