Ajax Appoints Jordi Cruyff, Son of Legend Johan Cruyff, as Technical Director

Ajax, a Dutch football giant, has appointed Jordi Cruyff, the son of club legend Johan Cruyff, as the new technical director starting February 1. The 51-year-old Cruyff will be tasked with finding a new coach for the Amsterdam team after the dismissal of John Heitinga in November.

Ajax, currently 18 points behind league leaders PSV Eindhoven, last won the Dutch league in 2022 and suffered a record 6-0 loss to AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Cup. Jordi Cruyff, a former player for Ajax, Barcelona, and Manchester United, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
