Kayinsola Ajayi, a 21-year-old Nigerian sprinter, finished third in the men’s 100 metres at the 2026 Diamond League Final held in Brussels, clocking a time of 9.97 seconds. This performance earned him a bronze medal in a competitive race where Jamaica’s Oblique Seville won the Diamond Trophy with a time of 9.90 seconds, and Cameroon’s Emmanuel Eseme secured second place with 9.93 seconds.

Ajayi's third-place finish concluded a breakthrough season in which he established himself among the top sprinters in the Diamond League, achieving two victories in Eugene and London with national-record-equalling times of 9.84 seconds.
