Akpabio Lauds Akwa Ibom's Unity at Ibom Air Aircraft Launch

On Tuesday, Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate and former two-term governor of Akwa Ibom State, attended the commissioning of the newly acquired Airbus A220-300 Series aircraft by Ibom Air at the Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo. Akpabio described Akwa Ibom as a model of unity, development, and progress, attributing this success to the collaboration among successive administrations.

He commended Governor Umo Eno for sustaining development initiatives and completing projects from previous administrations. Akpabio stated, “With the commissioning of today, Akwa Ibom State has become the shining example of unity, development and progress in Nigeria.” He emphasized the importance of political cooperation for development, stating his intention to work alongside Governor Eno.

Additionally, he praised Eno for investing in human capital, particularly in training Akwa Ibom youths for careers in aviation. Governor Eno acknowledged Akpabio's role in the commissioning and highlighted the aircraft's acquisition as part of Ibom Air’s fleet expansion program.
