Akpabio Celebrates Eid el Maulud, Urges Unity in Nigeria

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, issued a goodwill message celebrating Muslims worldwide on the occasion of Eid el Maulud. He described the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad as a timeless example of compassion, tolerance, humility, and service to humanity.

Akpabio urged Muslims to reflect on these virtues and to offer special prayers for peace, unity, and progress in Nigeria. He emphasized that Nigeria's strength lies in its diversity, encouraging citizens to embrace love, forgiveness, and mutual respect regardless of religious or ethnic differences.

Akpabio also called on religious leaders and faithful to pray for the nation's leaders, improved security, economic prosperity, and sustained national unity. He reaffirmed the commitment of the 10th Senate to promote legislation and policies that protect religious freedom and improve the welfare of Nigerians.

Additionally, he extended his best wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for a peaceful and joyous celebration.
