Daily Times Nigeria to Honor Leaders at Centenary Awards

The Daily Times Nigeria @100 Centenary Awards will take place on September 3, 2026, at the ThisDay Dome in Central Area, Abuja, honoring notable Nigerians for their contributions to governance, business, security, innovation, and public service. Award recipients include Senator George Akume, who will receive the Daily Times Statesman Award, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the Daily Times Mega City Transformation Award, and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma for the Daily Times Good Governance Award.

Aliko Dangote will be recognized with the Daily Times Industrialist of the Century Award. Other awardees include Niger State Governor Umaru Bago, Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, among others.

The event's theme is “A Century of Truth, A Future of Impact,” and aims to celebrate individuals and institutions that have significantly impacted Nigeria's development. Fidelis Anosike, Chairman of Folio Media Group, emphasized the importance of recognizing those shaping Nigeria's future.
