ABPR Praises Tinubu, Pate for Resolving FUTATH Crisis

The Akure Businessmen and Professionals Roundtable (ABPR) commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, for their roles in resolving the labor crisis at the Federal University Teaching Hospital (FUTATH). This resolution followed the suspension of an industrial action by the Ondo State organised labor unions, which had severely impacted the hospital's operations and caused distress to patients and the local community.

In a statement by Dr. Olufemi Oyinsan, ABPR acknowledged Prof. Pate's intervention and his commitment to the federal government's Renewed Hope agenda in the health sector. The ABPR also expressed disappointment at the Ondo State Government's response to the crisis and called for improvements in local healthcare facilities.

They welcomed the Federal Ministry of Health's steps to expand the hospital's staff capacity and urged the state government to enhance health services by developing additional hospitals.
