Akwa Ibom Unveils Ibom Medical City Healthcare Project

The Akwa Ibom State Government has launched the Ibom Medical City project, a significant healthcare infrastructure initiative aimed at expanding specialized healthcare services within the state. This project is designed to reduce medical tourism and attract investments, positioning Akwa Ibom as a regional hub for medical excellence.

The Ibom Medical City will cover approximately 100 hectares and will feature a 350-bed hospital. This initiative aligns with the healthcare agenda of Governor Umo Eno and the federal government's Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasizes collaboration between federal and state authorities to advance healthcare development and improve human capital outcomes.
