Alaafin Akeem Owoade Praises Tinubu for Oyo Road Project

Alaafin Akeem Owoade of Oyo commended President Bola Tinubu for approving the contract for the construction of the Oyo circular road, which will connect Ijawaya, FGGC Sabo, Ilora, and Akinmorin in the Oyo Federal Constituency. In a statement issued by his Director of Media and Publicity, Bode Durojaiye, the Alaafin noted that the poor condition of roads in the Oyo metropolis has posed severe socio-economic challenges for residents.

The new circular road is expected to transform daily life for residents, empower the local economy, and provide faster access to major markets, thereby reducing travel time and crop spoilage. It will also improve healthcare access, particularly for pregnant women and the elderly, allowing them to reach nearby hospitals without delay.

The Alaafin expressed gratitude for Tinubu's commitment to grassroots development and the ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure in the region, stating that the project aligns with the administration's agenda to create jobs and uplift living standards.
