Abuja Summit to Review Tinubu's Education Reforms

Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa is set to lead stakeholders in reviewing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's education reforms at a summit scheduled for July 15, 2026, in Abuja.

The summit, organized by the Education Correspondents Association of Nigeria (ECAN), will focus on assessing the progress, challenges, and prospects of the education sector under Tinubu's administration. It aims to provide a platform for policymakers, education experts, academic development partners, school administrators, civil society organizations, and student representatives to discuss the ongoing reforms.

The event will also recognize individuals and institutions that have significantly advanced education and human capital development in Nigeria. Mr.

Chux Ukwuatu, the chairman of ECAN, stated that the summit would offer an opportunity to review the sector's progress and identify pathways for sustainable development. The summit is expected to include participation from government ministries, departments, agencies, and private sector players.
