ECAN Education Summit Set for July 15, 2026, in Abuja

The Education Correspondents Association of Nigeria (ECAN) will host an education summit on July 15, 2026, at the Barcelona Hotel in Wuse II, Abuja. Dr.

Maruf Tunji Alausa, the Minister of Education, will lead discussions assessing the progress and challenges of educational reforms during President Bola Tinubu's administration. The summit aims to facilitate a robust policy dialogue and will gather policymakers, education experts, academic development partners, and media professionals to evaluate the impact of these reforms.

The event will also honor individuals and institutions that have significantly contributed to advancing education in Nigeria. Notable attendees include Mr.

Chux Ukwuatu, ECAN Chairman; Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu, Executive Secretary of the NUC; Arc.

Sonni Echono, Registrar of NECO; and Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi, Registrar of JAMB, among others.

The summit is expected to foster strategies to address ongoing challenges in the education sector.
