Monye Critiques Kalu's Trust in APC Ahead of 2027 Race

Morris Monye, a former director of the Obidi Movement, made remarks on Friday via X, responding to reports that Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, is set to join the race to unseat Abia State Governor Alex Otti in the 2027 governorship election. Monye accused Kalu of placing his trust in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its electoral strategies, which he described as a "rigging machine." He asserted that Kalu believes in the APC's electoral strength, but Monye expressed confidence that Otti, a popular politician in the Southeast, would successfully defeat Kalu's attempts.

Monye emphasized that Kalu's reliance on the APC's strategies would ultimately fail, reinforcing Otti's standing in the political landscape of Abia State.
