Amotekun Corps to Prosecute 142 Criminal Suspects in Ondo

The Amotekun Corps, part of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, has concluded arrangements to prosecute 142 criminal suspects in Ondo State. These suspects are alleged to be involved in various crimes, including kidnapping, anti-grazing violations, farmer clashes, and cultism.

Akogun Adetunji Adeley, the command head, disclosed that the case files for these suspects have been successfully transferred to courts with competent jurisdiction. This action follows the arrest of 64 suspects last month.

The Ondo State Security Network Agency aims to enhance security by addressing criminal elements and has been collaborating with other security agencies, including the Nigerian Police, Army, and Civil Defence. Additionally, two members of a criminal gang have been apprehended, and further investigations are ongoing.

The agency is committed to dismantling criminal activities in the state, particularly in large forest areas that span 18 local governments.
