Anambra First Lady Advocates for MSME Support

Nony Soludo, the First Lady of Anambra State, urged for enhanced support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in a message posted on her Facebook page on June 27, 2026, coinciding with the International Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Day. She described MSMEs as the backbone of the global economy and critical drivers of job creation and inclusive economic growth.

Soludo emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in strengthening families and promoting sustainable growth. She celebrated the resilience and innovation of entrepreneurs, stating that their ideas contribute significantly to job creation and community development.

She called for continued support and empowerment of MSMEs, asserting that when small businesses thrive, communities prosper. The theme for this year's observance focused on human-centered entrepreneurship and the role of artificial intelligence in empowering the next generation of MSMEs.
