Anambra NDLEA Commander Raises Alarm Over Youth Drug Abuse

The Anambra State NDLEA commander, Mr. Charles Onubuogu, voiced distress over the prevalent use of hard drugs among young people in the state during an advocacy talk in Awka. He emphasized the need for individuals to resist drug intake, highlighting the dangers of drug abuse and its detrimental effects on society.

Onubuogu urged parents, guardians, community leaders, and faith-based organizations to actively engage in the fight against drug abuse, emphasizing the importance of early detection and prevention. He stressed the urgent need for intervention to rescue those deeply involved in drug abuse and promote a drug-free lifestyle for the youth.

Onubuogu called on the public to view combating drug abuse as a social responsibility to create a safer and healthier environment for all.
