Anambra Police Celebrates Promotion of AIG Ikioye Orutugu

On Tuesday, the Anambra State Police Command celebrated the promotion of its substantive Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG). The ceremony took place at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, where Nnaghe Obono Itam, the immediate past Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, was also decorated with the same rank.

Police Public Relations Officer SP Tochukwu Ikenga described the simultaneous promotion of both officers as a significant milestone, reflecting the Nigeria Police Force’s acknowledgment of their exceptional leadership, professional excellence, and dedication to duty. Ikenga noted that during their tenures, both officers demonstrated exemplary leadership and strategic direction, enhancing security and public confidence in Anambra State.

He expressed pride in their achievements and wished them continued success and health as they take on their new responsibilities within the Nigeria Police Force.
