AIG Ikioye Orutugu Thanks Anambra Residents on Retirement

AIG Ikioye Orutugu, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, began a thank-you tour as he transitions from his role as Commissioner of Police in Anambra State. The tour commenced with a courtesy visit to HRM Igwe Gibson Nwosu, the Traditional Ruler of Awka Kingdom.

During this visit, AIG Orutugu expressed his profound appreciation for the support he received from the traditional institution and the people of Awka throughout his tenure. He acknowledged that the achievements of the Anambra State Police Command were a result of collective efforts from the government, traditional institutions, community leaders, and the public.

AIG Orutugu called for ongoing collaboration among the Police, traditional rulers, and the community to ensure sustainable security in the state. In response, HRM Igwe Gibson Nwosu congratulated AIG Orutugu on his promotion and commended his leadership and contributions to enhancing security and public confidence during his tenure.
